Sylhet called the land of 360 saints. It is one of the most popular tourist spots of Bangladesh. Sylhet is situated in north-eastern region of the country and located on the northern bank of the Surma River. Sylhet is dotted with lakes, thick forests and fruit gardens, abounds in wildlife.

The forests have different species of birds and animals and ideal for bird watching and trekking. Sylhet has a lot of attractive places with a good number of haors. During winter these haors are vast stretches of green land, but in the rainy season they turn into turbulent seas. The tea gardens stretch for miles like a green carpet spread over the slopes of the hills.
